Center left in second place. Surprisingly excellent result Verdi (ANSA)

The center-right would be leading the political elections held in Croatia. This is shown by the first exit polls released by Croatian TV broadcasters. The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) led by outgoing premier Andrej Plenkovic would obtain 61 parliamentary mandates (out of a total of 151) against the 44 assigned to the center-left, led by the social democrats of Davor Bernardic. In third place there is a grouping of sovereign and nationalist parties, called the "Patriotic Movement", to which the exit polls assign 16 deputies. The big surprise of the election evening is the excellent result that the greens and the radical left would have achieved, which in a coalition called 'Mozemo' (We can)
eight deputies would get. It would be the first time since Croatia's independence, achieved in 1991, that the greens enter Parliament.

The last figure on the turnout - the vote took place in compliance with strict anti-Covid-19 measures - is that of 34 percent relative to 4.30pm, almost four points less than four years ago, probably for the anxiety that has generated the surge of coronavirus in recent weeks.
