After many weeks of discussing refunds for canceled flights, today the offer is valid until August 31, with the option to extend for only nine months. By way of outline, airlines will benefit from a type of benefit that will hurt a particular consumer.

A passenger whose flight is canceled will be entitled to accommodation at the airline's expense for only two nights with no cost of accommodation. It has also been confirmed that the airline will have to return the money to its customers within 90 days of cancellation of the flight or after 30 days from the time of the entry into force, whichever is later, instead of 21 days from the date of the customer's request as currently prescribed by law.

It is important to note that quite a few airlines have been following the arrangement approved today over the past few months, even before it has been approved. This matter was not addressed by the committee, which created a situation that the companies managed to "drag" the customers and now the law is retroactively approved from the beginning of March.

In addition, the airlines were offered a promotional voucher instead of restoring the money. The broken will only be provided if the customer has confirmed in writing that he is interested in accepting the offer. Vouchers will be issued within 14 days of obtaining the passenger's consent and will be valid for at least one year. A customer who does not redeem the voucher will be entitled to receive his money back.

Earlier, a discussion was held on the assistance of employees in the tourism industry, with an emphasis on those engaged in international tourism. There was also agreement on this issue that dealers in the field should be assisted as soon as possible and understand their needs, but no actual decision has yet been made on the issue. The feelings of the tourism industry are that this is another discussion that is part of a long and tedious process while dealing with enormous economic damage.
