(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 06 - Eni revises the long-term oil price scenario, setting a brent price of 60 dollars per barrel but confirms and indeed aims to accelerate its decarbonisation strategy, with the related implementation actions.
This can be read in a statement from the company in which it explains that some balance sheet items are slightly underestimated and reference is made to July 30 for a first assessment of the consolidated data for the second quarter.
"We confirm our strategy aimed at making Eni a leader in decarbonisation - said the CEO, Claudio Descalzi - despite the far-reaching impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic is having on the economy and on the group. Possible accelerations of the path are under evaluation. This will allow us to obtain a better balance of the portfolio, reducing its exposure to the volatility of hydrocarbon prices, and to conjugate the profitability and sustainability objectives that Eni has set itself ".
