The governor of Veneto Luca Zaia and the mayor of Bari (and president of the ANCI) Antonio Decaro are the most popular local administrators in Italy. Both, even under the pressure of the Covid-19 emergency, obtain an almost plebiscitary consensus: if they voted at the moment they would get 70% of the preferences. This is the most significant indication of Governance Poll 2020, a survey on the level of satisfaction of the presidents of the 18 regions with direct election and the mayors of 105 provincial capitals made for Il Sole 24 Ore on Monday by Noto Sondaggi .

On the ranking of the Regions, for the Poll del Sole 24 Ore Governance, the most obvious indication is the en plein of the center-right with the four most popular governors of Italy: immediately after Zaia, in fact, Massimiliano Fedriga (Friuli VG, Lega, 59.8%), Donatella Tesei (Umbria, Lega, 57.5%) and Jole Santelli (Calabria, Forza Italia, 57.5%). In fifth place, with growing consensus compared to the day of the elections (from 51.4 to 54%), the first center-left governor is ranked, that of Emilia Romagna Stefano Bonaccini. The most significant progress is that of Giovanni Toti in Liguria (from 34.4 to 48%), while the most conspicuous setbacks are accused by Michele Emiliano in Puglia (from 47.1 to 40%) and Attilio Fontana in Lombardy (from 49 , 7 to 45.3%). In last place in the Governance Poll of the Regions is the governor of Lazio and national secretary of the Democratic Party, Nicola Zingaretti, whose performance is practically aligned with the result - just over 30%, the lowest among the governors - obtained on the day of the elections.

On the capital cities front, at Poll del Sole 24 Ore Governance, after the first place of Decaro and the second of Cateno De Luca (Messina, Civic List), there is the third place ex aequo of mayors who lived in the front line two various emergency situations: that of the Ponte Morandi for Marco Bucci (center-right, Genoa) and that of the coronavirus for Giorgio Gori (center-left, Bergamo). In the rear, two administrative symbols of the Five Star Movement: Virginia Raggi in Rome and Chiara Appendino in Turin, respectively in the penultimate place (with a drop of 29 points compared to 67.2% on the day of election) and 97th ( -10.9). Also back the mayor of Naples, Luigi De Magistris (in 100th place with a drop of 24 points). Among the big cities, the mayors of Florence Dario Nardella (34th place) and Milan Giuseppe Sala (52nd) are growing slightly (ANSA).
