The Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday 20 new deaths from coronavirus in relation to the report on Monday night, so there are 1,602 fatalities in the country due to the pandemic.
The last reported deaths are 11 men: 3 who lived in the province of Buenos Aires and were 74, 80 and 81 years old; and 8 in the City, 40, 52, 61, 64, 75, 86, 90 and 100 years old. In addition, 8 women died: 4 in the province of Buenos Aires, aged 29, 77, 83 and 85; 3 in the City, aged 77, 90 and 97; one of 75 years with residence in Río Negro; and another 71 person who lived in the province of Buenos Aires but sex was not reported.
The virus case fatality rate is 2% and mortality is 34.9 per million inhabitants.
The occupation of intensive care beds, one of the numbers that led the Government to toughen quarantine in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, is 51.6% in the entire country and rises to 58.8% in the metropolitan region .
Currently there are 688 patients admitted to the so-called critical beds, and 91.7% of them are in the AMBA.
The Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, warned that in the last two weeks there has been a "persistent increase" in the occupation of intensive care beds, mainly in the City and Greater Buenos Aires.
The good news is that 30,095 people who carried the virus have already recovered and been discharged.
Of the 2,632 cases reported in the last 24 hours, 2,471 were in the AMBA, representing almost 94%. Neuquén followed with 34 new positives, Jujuy with 29, Córdoba with 28 and Chaco 26.
Formosa, La Pampa, San Luis, Tierra del Fuego and Tucumán are the five provinces that did not report new cases in the last day.
