In times dominated by the fear of contagion, the presentation of the new haute couture collection by Christian Dior is not a fashion show but becomes a fairy tale film, entitled Le Mythe Dior , directed by Matteo Garrone, emblematic Italian director who signed Pinocchio. Set among enchanted woods, lakes inhabited by albino sirens, fauns and female statues that come alive as if by magic, as soon as they are shown the small masterpieces of high fashion clothes that the industrious hands of the seamstresses of Diorthey packaged in miniature, bringing them to the muses and water lilies of the fairy forest, in a trunk that evokes the historical seat of the atelier on Avenue Montaigne, carried on the shoulders of two young people in uniform from large hotel baggage handlers. The artistic director of the Dior women's collections returns, in that blocked period, just passed, and of which we still live the resonances, to look at surrealism.
