(ANSA) - MOSCOW, JULY 7 - Former journalist Ivan Safronov, now adviser to the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, was arrested for high treason on charges of passing military secrets to the intelligence services of a NATO country. Roscosmos claims that Safronov's arrest has nothing to do with his work in the space agency, while Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the arrest is not related to his previous journalistic activity. A protest is taking place outside the Russian secret service headquarters and at least three people have been arrested.
