There are the best known such as the national domain of Versailles (Yvelines), the Tuileries garden or the Paris floral park, but also others a little less famous. Our selection.

The Country Garden in Grisy-les-Plâtres (Val-d'Oise)

30 km from Paris, this small half-hectare enclosure, located in the Vexin regional park, owes its title of "remarkable garden" to the richness of its plantations. There are more than a thousand varieties of perennial plants that grow in the Country Garden, laid out in the English style and enhance architectural elements such as the dovecote, the footbath, the manager's house or the octagonal basin of the 19th century.

The Île-Verte garden in Châtenay-Malabry (Hauts-de-Seine)

This little corner of paradise has been owned by several artists. The poet Jules Barbier from 1852, then the writer Marcel Arland in the 1930s and the painter Jean Fautrier from 1945 to 1964. The particular charm of the garden is due to its intimate, wild character and its succession of rose bushes, large trees, pond, arbor and greenhouse. The property is called "Green Island", after one of the works of Jean Fautrier.

34, rue Eugène-Sinet, in Châtenay-Malabry (Hauts-de-Seine). Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from March to October, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April to September and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from November to February. Phone. 08.06.00.00.92.

The peach walls, in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)

These gardens bear witness to the culture of peaches introduced in Montreuil in the 17th century before disappearing in the years 1960-1970. The technique consisted of growing fruit trees against a wall coated with plaster in order to allow them to benefit from the sunshine. These fruits have made the reputation of the city in France and abroad.
