Coronavirus in Argentina: 62 deaths and 2.79 new cases reported in the last 24 hours

These are the figures released by the Ministry of Health of the Nation. The province of Buenos Aires is the one that adds the most infections.

The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 2,979 new positive cases of coronavirus and 62 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

In the first report on Tuesday, the health portfolio had reported 20 new deaths and then, in the afternoon, reported the rest. 

On Monday, 8,487 new samples were made and since the start of the outbreak, 414,697 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 9,139 samples per million inhabitants. The number of cases discarded until yesterday is 263,156 (by laboratory and by clinical / epidemiological criteria).

Of the total confirmed cases up to this first report of the day (49.5% women and 50.5% men), 1.3% were imported, 34.8% had close contacts, 47.2% by community circulation and the the rest is under epidemiological investigation. The main affected age groups of the registered cases correspond to people between 20 and 59 years old, and the average age is 36 years old.
