Outbreak in a nursing home in Kiryat Bialik: Nine residents of Ben Yehuda's nursing home in the northern city were evacuated Tuesday night from Rambam Hospital after feeling ill. Six of them were diagnosed with Corona patients.

After hearing about the case, Kiryat Bialik City Mayor Eli Dukorski attacked the Ministry of Health, claiming the incident was not reported in time to the municipality. "It's strange to me that when there is an outbreak of an epidemic in my nursing home, with such a high number of residents being verified in real-time," Dukorsky accused, adding, "The Ministry of Health doesn't even bother to update me. This office is detached, does not perform its job, runs in a manner "Failure and irresponsibility, and I hope the Minister of Health will shake up the people in this office. It is not possible that from the beginning of the Corona crisis, I do not get data from the office - who are the sick people, in which neighborhoods, where they live, so we know how to prepare and give them the right answers," he argued . 

As is well known, the population of nursing homes is considered to be a significant risk population in the corona virus, and outbreaks in nursing homes have led to many deaths in the disease. Concern is mounting with the outbreak of the second wave in recent days.

According to the Ministry of Health data released this evening, since midnight, five people have died as a result of a given virus that raises the number of those who have died from the disease so far to 342. The ministry also announced that 748 new patients were diagnosed in Israel today, out of 23,256 tests. It has also been reported that in Israel there are 13,352 patients in Corona, of whom 86 are in serious condition and 34 are euthanized.
