Many men no longer hide the plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments they perform to improve appearance. "In our culture, there has been a significant change in the social and cultural outlook on the aesthetic of men," says Professor Eyal Gore, director of the Ichilov Plastic Surgery Department and a men's aesthetic surgery clinic. 

"Many emphasize trendy attire, a healthy lifestyle and a young look dictated by society, and not just women. This is one of the reasons for the popularity of plastic surgery and injectable fillers among men." Data from the Israeli Association for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Medical Association show that in recent years there has been a dramatic 35 percent increase in demand for men's aesthetic surgery and treatments. "When it comes to Israeli men, there are aesthetic surgeries and treatments that are considered particularly popular," says Dr. Meir Cohen, chairman of the Israeli Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Medical Association.

Dr. Cohen talks about the common treatments among Israeli men: "The men's preferred list includes nasal surgery, liposuction, eyelid surgery, facelift and injection of fillers - including botulinum toxin (botox) and hyaluronic acid." About 105,000 injections have been injected, 1,400 nose surgeries, 750 liposuction and 350 breast reduction surgeries. "In recent years, there has been a significant increase in men in the aesthetic world," says Dr. Ronen Glazinger, a plastic surgery specialist. Today, the male audience accounts for about 20 percent of patients attending treatment clinics, and preferences for different treatments vary according to age ranges. "
