Bella Hadid lashed out at Instagram after the platform deleted a photograph of her father in which she showed her roots.

This Tuesday, Bella Hadid exploded against the censorship of Instagram, after the famous photography platform deleted one of her posts, due to allegedly violating the rules of the social network.

The 23-year-old model was furious after being notified that her Instagram story, where she shared a passport photograph of her father Mohamed Hadid , had been removed. The platform announced to Hadid that her image violated "harassment or harassment" guidelines.

"We have these guidelines because we want our community to feel respected and safe," was the notice issued. Through her Stories , Bella disclosed her father's details with the United States passport, however, the image showed her country of origin, as well as the date of her birth.

"Instagram deleted my story that only said, 'My baby and his birthplace in Palestine' with a photograph of his American passport," Hadid explained in another post through the Stories of his social profile.

"Instagram exactly, what part of me proud of my father's birthplace in Palestine is 'bullying, harassment, graphic or sexual nudity'?" She added annoyed.

The celebrity continued to be angry at what happened and claimed the social network for the censorship of her photo as intimidation.

"Aren't we allowed to be Palestinians on Instagram? This, for me, is intimidation. You can't erase the story by silencing people. It doesn't work that way," he said.

In a continuing post, the model shared another photo of her father's passport with the registration number blurred. "Do you want him to change his birthplace for you?" Asked Gigi Hadid's sister.

"I am proud to be a Palestinian," said the Victoria's Secret star, and then urged her followers to post where their mother and father were born and share it on the networks.

"Remind them how proud they are of where they come from," he added.

According to a spokesman for the Facebook company of which Instagram is part, the content that is published on the network is not removed according to the nationality or ethnic origin of the people, so he assured that this was not the reason why Hadid's content was removed.

"To protect the privacy of our community, we do not allow people to post personal information, such as passport numbers, on Instagram," a spokesperson for the Facebook company said in a statement to E! News . However, the spokesperson acknowledged that the post was deleted by mistake.

"In this case, the passport number was deleted, so this content should not have been removed," the source said. "We have restored the content and we apologize to Bella for the mistake that was made," he added.

Through her profile, the model shared the publications of her fans, who spoke in support and showed her parents' passports, or photographs showing her hometown.
