Coronavirus: Tokyo, 243 cases in the past 24 hours

(ANSA) - TOKYO, JULY 10 - Record of coronavirus cases aTokyo for the second consecutive day, at an altitude of 243, which worries the authorities despite the warnings to reduce losses in the area where the main foci have been located. The total number of infections in the capital reached 7,515 according to data from the public NHK channel, equivalent to about one third of all national cases.
    Since the day of the withdrawal of the state of emergency, at the end of May, after an initial descent of the cases, the infections began to rise last month, especially among young people, in the red light district north west of the capital.
   However, despite recent increases, the government does not plan to declare a new emergency, stating that the health system is not under particular pressure due to the coronavirus.
