The Buenos Aires Vice Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, predicted that the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in Argentina could come "between today and tomorrow" (referring to this Friday and Saturday), and warned that it will not be possible to "liberate much" the quarantine at AMBA after July 17.

"We continue to raise the cases; we have not reached the peak. It would be good to see that the peak is between today and tomorrow (Saturday). That could be something that happens . I am not saying that the cases begin to drop, but that they stop rising. That We will have information for Tuesday or Wednesday, "explained Kreplak.

In dialogue with FM Futurock , the official ruled out implementing a grand opening after the end of the reinforced quarantine, since allowing many new activities "could very quickly lose what was achieved."

"I am sure that after the 17th we cannot think about releasing much. There are people who suggest things that are not based on information. My part has to do with the analysis of epidemiological information. And there is no strong data to say that one does not it can drop a lot . Yes, a little, but very organized, because if not, what was achieved can be lost very quickly, "he said.

And he insisted: "Beyond that we are tired, we must take good care of ourselves."

Asked about the possibility of differentiating health strategies between City and Province, as rumored in recent days, the deputy minister stated that the approach "has to be common."

"The AMBA works as one thing. Epidemiologically it matters very little who governs on each side. It is true that there may be differences, nuances. The effort is how we all manage to work together in a way of communicating. I would not make an effort to see how we we differentiate, "he added.

Regarding the occupation of intensive care beds in the Province, one of the key indicators, Kreplak said that there are some districts, especially those closest to the City, "with highly covered hospitals, several with 100% occupancy." However, he clarified, "the system allows them to be referred" to other health centers.

The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Friday 29 new deaths from coronavirus in Argentina with respect to the evening report the previous day, which brought the death toll to 1,749 since March, when the pandemic was declared.

In the official report, it was also indicated that there were 3,663 Covid-19 infections registered in the country on Wednesday and 90,963 total infected.
