French actor Jean-François Garreaud died at the age of 74. Bernard Vauriac, the mayor of Saint-Jory-de-Chalais (Dordogne) where the actor lived, confirmed the sad news this Friday morning with France Bleu Périgord.
From television to cinema via theater, Jean-François Garreaud was of all the arts. Before becoming famous, he worked as an apprentice tiler and then as an accountant, acting.
His career began in the 1970s alongside Claude Chabrol in "Violette Nozière" where he played the seducer Jean Dabin. In 1982, he played alongside Alain Delon in "Le Battant". In the 90s, Jean-François Garreaud appeared again with Claude Chabrol in "Betty".
