The adventurer who marked the game of TF1 this spring returns to the screens on Saturday evening on France 2. He takes part in the first issue of "For

Nothing stops it. After having shone on TF1 in the last edition of "Koh-Lanta", Claude Dartois, 41, rubs himself Saturday evening with the tests of "Fort Boyard", at 9:05 pm on France 2. In the team led by the ex- Miss Camille Cerf and alongside Miss France 2020 Clémence Botino, singer Tom Leeb and comedian Booder, the master driver inaugurates the 31st season of the game. Due to the health crisis, the number of candidates has been reduced to five members and each one takes turns towards his ordeal. No more group races through the stairs and walkways. They also wear a mask on arrival as well as in the treasure room, when picking up the Boyars in a cage divided into five portions, each his own. Claude confides in this experience which he has dreamed of for a long time.

What is your first memory of "Fort Boyard" as a viewer?

CLAUDE DARTOIS. When I was little, when I started with Patrice Laffont, it was one of the only shows I was allowed to watch in the summer. The test that impressed me the most was the one where a candidate had to descend into the sewers of the Fort, and find his way in apnea.

Have you wanted to participate for a long time?

Already in 2010, after my first "Koh-Lanta", I had the hope that it would be offered to me but it didn't happen. Same in 2012. This time, I had my chance!

Were you apprehending certain tests?

I am not easily intimidated. But the idea of being in a confined space with dozens of snakes, it didn't make me very envious.

What is your greatest asset as a candidate?

My versatility, my commitment, my will, everything that was already known about me. I have great self-confidence, it's rare that I doubt. In fact, I would have liked to do all the tests!

However, you were injured several times during the shooting…

I have a go-getter spirit so I leave traces of my passage, pieces of me everywhere! (Laughs) In fact, I dislocated my finger on a bad fall during my first test, but luckily I was allowed to continue. My fear was to have to give up, like when you get hurt in "Koh-Lanta". Then I hit my calf a little, which swelled, and I had scratches on other events… The day was long!

Moussa, your adventure comrade in "Koh-Lanta", is also one of the candidates facing the Fort this year. Did you call to compare your performance?

Of course. As I shot the show before him, he wanted to know how it went and I called him back after his. I will not reveal anything of our assessment, but we both had a great adventure in "Fort Boyard".

You posted a video where you dance with Teheiura and Laurent Maistret on Instagram. Is it a pole extended to participate in "Dance with the stars"?

I do not stretch any pole! It was a little dance between friends. If it makes people laugh, so much the better, if it makes them think that I'm going to start dancing, that was not the goal. "Dance with the stars", I did not look into the question and as long as it is not asked, I will not look into it.

Have you had other proposals to make television?

I was offered to redo "Ninja Warrior" this year for the start of the school year, but I declined because it requires a lot of preparation and there, with this finger injury, this was not the time.

After "Koh-Lanta", "Ninja Warrior" and "Fort Boyard", are there other shows that would tempt you?

"Rendezvous in unknown land" or shows with Mike Horn would suit me well.

How do you manage your popularity since the deconfinement?

I have no problem with that, I'm pretty quiet. When people call me by my first name on the street or wink at me, it's always a pleasure. I try to take the time with them, they apologize when they see that I am in family. As long as I'm not working with my boss, there is nothing to worry about. What bothers me a little is more compared to the coronavirus, how to keep the distance to take photos ...

What is your program for the coming weeks?

I'm going on vacation in mid-July, we're doing a little tour of France in four stages with the family. I also have a training program to prepare the Templar trail which takes place in October (Editor's note: a 78 km race) . This summer will be conducive to jogging in different places: beach, mountain and forest, it's perfect.
