Tribute of the Police Band to Covid victims, with Conte

The State Police was held in Piazza del Viminale, with the musical band, the tribute to the memory of the victims of Covid-19, and thanks on behalf of all to the health personnel involved in the treatment. "Thank you in the name of everyone" is the title of the ceremony which took place in the presence of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese. The head of the Police - Director General of Public Security, Franco Gabrielli addressed a greeting address at the opening.
    On July 11, 1852, the Corps of Public Security Guards was born. Tonight - 168 years later - the State Police wanted to thank the health workers and remember the victims of the pandemic and in particular those who worked on the front lines to assist the population: health personnel, essential public services, law enforcement and tra these are the policemen Giorgio Guastamacchia, Maria Sparagana and Valter Capussotto.
    After a brief intervention by the medical director of the Lazzaro Spallanzani Institute, Francesco Vaia, the title of honorary policeman was conferred on Luigi Cavanna, director of the Oncohematology Department of the Local Health Authority of Piacenza and Enza Anemolo, nurse and case manager at the San Donato Habilita di Osio Sotto in the province of Bergamo. This is an acknowledgment for the "constant sharing of the values ​​of service, commitment and proximity to the citizen that characterize the State Police".
    During the evening, the book "The health of the State Police at the time of Coronavirus" was presented, edited by the Central Directorate of Health of the State Police whose operators shared the efforts of the epidemiological peak.
    The musical band performed several songs during the event, dedicating a moment to Ennio Morricone. The concert was broadcast live on Facebook and saw the participation of Claudio Baglioni and the contribution of saxophonist Stefano di Battista.
    The evening ended with the national anthem performed by the musical band and sung by Baglioni, while the Palazzo del Viminale dressed in the tricolor thanks to the intervention of Acea.
