Last weekend, a social video was circulated on the star of children's star Roy Oz, known as Roy Boy.
In the video, which was filmed five years ago, Oz documents himself traveling in a vehicle with his children, encouraging them to "feed the children" from the Bedouin diaspora and saying "Who wants to feed a Bedouin?"
Roy Boy asks his children "Who wants to feed a Bedouin?"
The video, as expected, triggered a wave of angry reactions both on and off the net, including a police complaint filed by Al Magus councilor Salameh Al Atarsh.
Following the storm, MK Knesset Member Moshe Arbel asked to discuss the Knesset's agenda, titled: "Racist video on the Bedouin children 'network," and detailed: "This disgusting video, which is disgusting in itself, spotlight on The simple situation of children in the Bedouin diaspora, many of them live in harsh conditions, without connection to running water and electricity and without proper access to educational institutions, kindergartens and medical care. "
In response, Speaker of the National Union, Knesset Member Bezalel Smutrich tweeted: "The ultra-Orthodox public in distress, such as he has not had for many years and this is what members of Shas Knesset engaged? unbelievable".
• "Roy Boy" who shot the racist video
• Now in the video: Watch Roy Boy apologize
• Watch the demonstration: Roy Boy on a horse
The reactions to the tweet ranged from support to the attack, but one comment in particular stood out, that of journalist Lucy Aharish: "Unbelievable. If only you could neutralize their birth bomb we would not have witnessed this nauseating video. Poor racist and repulsive. A person in this country as opposed to you. "
Lucy Aharish said in response: "The tweet speaks for itself."
Knesset Member Bezalel Smutrich's response could not be obtained.
