Major General (Res.) Ronnie Nome, who is to head the Corona Directorate established by Health Minister Joel (July) Edelstein, announced yesterday that he is withdrawing his nomination for the post.
Numa, who was formerly commander of the Central Command and until recently managed for the Bnei Brak municipality to control the city's Corona crisis, preferred to relinquish the position 10 days after Health Minister Edelstein announced the establishment of the Corona director.
Noma's decision to relinquish the job probably comes because the Ministry of Health did not grant him enough powers, and in his view, along with the responsibilities - powers must also be obtained.
