Poland: exit poll, Duda ahead with 50.4%

According to the exit polls, in the second round of the Polish presidential election, the outgoing president, Andrzej Duda, is ahead with 50.4% of the votes. Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski reportedly took 49.6%. (HANDLE)



(ANSA) - WARSAW, JULY 12 - According to the exit polls, in the second round of the Polish presidential election the outgoing president, Andrzej Duda, is ahead with 50.4% of the votes. Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski allegedly took 49.6%. The figure may be less reliable than usual, as voting by post was also allowed, due to coronavirus.
   Ipsos, the institute that developed the exit polls, warns that the winner cannot be indicated on the basis of these data, since the statistical error is around two points. The turnout aiseggi was 68.9%. Exit polls did not take into account the vote cast abroad (by correspondence) by around 500,000 Poles. (HANDLE).
