In May 2020, with the easing of the containment measures of Covid-19, industrial production rose by 12.4% in the euro area and by 11.4% in the EU-27 compared to the previous month . In Italy the biggest rebound: + 42.1%, followed by France with + 20%. In April in the Eurozone and the EU it had fallen by 18.2%. Eurostat notes this. Compared to May 2019, however, the negative sign is still everywhere: -20.9% in the euro area, -20.5% in the EU-27, -20.3% in Italy.
