(ANSA) - TEHERAN, JULY 14 - The Iranian Supreme Court has confirmed the death sentence of three protesters arrested during the protests of last November against the car-petrol. The spokesman for the Tehran magistracy, Gholamhossein Esmaili, announced without identifying the convicted. Two of them, he added, had been arrested during an armed robbery.
The three convicts were subsequently identified as Amirhossein Moradi, Saeed Tamjidi and Mohammad Rajabi.
The ruling also provides for 38 years in prison and 222 lashes for the accused. The three were also accused of filming the protests and sending the videos to foreign media. (HANDLE).
