New reality shows are popping up at a rate where Roy Boy is making apologies. And this time "The Singer in a Mask" (surprisingly has nothing to do with Corona), a reality show where celebrities from various fields appear disguised in poetry clips, according to which the panel of judges try to guess who is hiding under the costume.

The US has already aired a second season of reality that originated in South Korea. It is currently airing on yes, and a third season will air at the end of the month. "School of Music"), but now the date of its airing is still unclear.

The format brings up each time two contestants appear against each other. The one who wins according to the choice of the judges and the audience, moves on in the program, the one who loses faces a duel with the loser from the other pair. The loser in a duel was forced to reveal his identity and part with the plan.

The production looks very invested. The contestants' costumes look super professional with quite a bit of flying and creativity. The design of the stage in each song of a contestant is also full of props, dancers and effects designed to enhance the experience. To give a tip to the judges, each singer presents a short section with clues from his past so they can start thinking about direction.

The judges on "The Singer in a Mask" are Nicole Scherzinger ("The Pussycat Dolls"), actor Ken Jong, Ginny McCarthy and singer Robin Thicke. The dynamics between them are good, but as is the size of the production, so is the size of the forgery and exaggeration in the program. The judges get excited about all the nonsense as if it were the most beautiful thing they have ever seen, and at some point it becomes unreliable and exhausting. Add to that the word game virus where everyone was attacked in the production and you get an invested show of lack of sophistication and exaggeration.

I do not know what is planned in the Israeli production of "The Singer in the Mask", but if that is the direction, it is not too late to regret.
