Naya Rivera disappeared during a boat ride with her son Josey. According to the police, this was the last thing she did for her son before she died.

On July 8,  Naya Rivera  mysteriously disappeared in Lake Piru, located in southern California, while taking a boat ride with her  four-year-old son  Josey Dorsey .

On July 13, after an intense search, the actress was found lifeless on the surface of the lake. This was confirmed by Ventura County through a press conference, in which they assured that the clothing of the body in recovery coincided with that of Naya.

After confirming the death of the actress, authorities said they do not suspect that it was an intentional death, but suggested that she could drown while swimming with Josey.

This Monday, the police gave a conference in which Ventura County  Sheriff Bill Ayub  recounted details of the conversation that the authorities had with little Josey, who explained that he went swimming with his mommy, but she did not return. to the boat.

Thus, officials believe Rivera was able to save her son's life before he died. "Her son described that Naya helped her onto the boat, who led him to the deck from behind. He told investigators that he looked back and saw her disappear below the surface of the water," said Bill.

The clues point to Naya's boat not being moored, so in an attempt to spend time in the water together, the boat pulled away and Naya was unable to do anything other than bring her son back, without to be able to save herself.

"We think it was mid-afternoon when he disappeared," Ayub explained. "The idea perhaps is that the boat began to drift, was not anchored, and that it gathered enough energy to get its son back to the boat, but not enough to save himself."

"We are convinced that the body we found is that of Naya Rivera," with these words the sheriff  confirmed the sad news.

From Saturday, heartbreaking images of Ryan Dorsey crying in the lake came to light. Ryan was one of Rivera's great loves and with whom she had a relationship from 2010 with ups and downs, until her divorce in 2018.

As a result of that relationship, in September 2015 Josey was born. A source recently told E! News that Rivera and her son "were incredibly close and had a very close bond."

"Being a mother is always my first priority, so everything else can wait," Rivera told E! News in 2019. "Nothing is more important than that. I just make sure to make time and stay organized so that once I pick him up from school, the rest of the day is ours," he said back then.

The reactions of his friends from "Glee" and more famous to his death were immediate. His friend and partner in the series, Kevin Mchale , described the famous as the best mom that could exist for Josey.

"If you were lucky enough to have met her, you will know that her most natural talent was to be a mother. From the way she loved her son, she was truly Naya in her most peaceful moment. I am thankful that Naya got that beautiful boy He will return to that boat. I am grateful that he has a strong family around him to protect him and tell him about his amazing mother, "said the actor.
