From Wednesday July 15 to Tuesday August 11, there are summer sales. We are used to a start in June, but, given the somewhat special context this year, the promotions period has been postponed, to allow everyone to benefit as it should: the merchants to sell their stocks, and customers to make the best deals. The sales now only last four weeks instead of six, we can bet that very good deals will point the tip of their noses today: after all, there is no time to lose. If discounts are going well in shops, it is obviously online that we find the most choice in many areas, thanks to the variety of online sales brands. Indeed, from Amazon to Cdiscount, via Nike, Darty, Fnac or Boulanger, many of them offer big promotions during the sales. To help you not miss anything, take a look at our selection of the best offers this launch Wednesday.

What are the differences between online and store sales?

If we now have the choice to take advantage of sales online or in stores, the operation is similar, since the rules are the same for both types of merchants: the purpose of sales is indeed to allow sellers to sell their stocks to enter new collections or new models of products, and they are exceptionally authorized to sell at a loss during this period. This is one of the reasons why balances are so financially attractive to customers. The major difference between online sales and store sales, if we obviously exclude the delivery times inherent in online sales, it is above all the choice and the stock available. Indeed, stores such as Amazon, Cdiscount, La redoute or even Rue du Commerce offer many references in each of their departments, whether for high-tech, IT, fashion ... Where classic shops are more limited. The same goes for stocks: online stores such as Darty and Fnac, which can be limited to stocks available in stores when you travel to go shopping, have access to all the stock available in the territory when you shop online. Unless you have spotted a particular item in a small shop in your city center, online sales sites therefore offer you many more choices to please you.

How long are the sales?

If we were used to sales that last six weeks, the rules have now changed, and the summer sales 2020, like the last winter sales, last only four weeks and will end on Tuesday, August 11 . This tighter duration does not change much in principle, four weeks is enough to bargain bargain hunting, have fun or make purchases of necessity, but it means that sellers can be more aggressive on prices from the launch and the first week: we will therefore have to watch for the best offers from the start, but also be vigilant about stocks. Indeed, with lower prices a little earlier, and a second markdown that will happen, too, a little faster, you should not have a good deal pass under your nose!
