(ANSA) - MILAN, JULY 18 - EssilorLuxottica has launched a judicial proceeding before the Rotterdam Court to obtain information from GrandVision, of which it has started the acquisition.
The requests - according to Essilux communicates - are to evaluate the way in which GrandVision managed the Covid-19 crisis and possible violations of obligations in this period of passage. "Despite repeated requests, GrandVision has not provided this information voluntarily," says EssilorLuxottica.
The acquisition of GrandVision, launched a year ago, represents the first big move after the merger between the French equello group founded by Leonardo Del Vecchio with the addition of over 7,200 stores, 37 thousand employees and 3.7 billion in turnover.
The cost of the operation is over seven billion in total, of which five and a half to the Hal fund for 76% of the chain, on which a residual takeover bid will then be launched at a price of28 euros. So far the green light has been registered by the competent Antitrust authorities, except for the crucial one of the EU. (HANDLE).
