Kanye West stood on Mount Rushmore amidst his candidacy

Rapper Kanye West continues his plans to run for the presidency in the 2020 election, in which he would face current president, Donald Trump ,and with Democrat Joe Biden , for which he shared an image where his face is on the famous Mount Rushmore.

In his post, West simply wrote "2020," and his face appears alongside Abraham Lincoln , Theodore Roosevelt , Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington , both of whom are immortalized at Mount Rushmore National Monument, located in Keystone, Dakota del South.

This message comes a day after it was revealed that the rapper submitted documentation to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) that would confirm that he continues with his plans to carry out an electoral campaign towards the elections, which he announced. last July 4th.

According to Fox News , they had access to the document of the Declaration of Candidacy of West, which mentions his affiliation to the "Birthday Party", name of his political party, and the name of his committee is only "Kanye 2020".

However, this first form does not mean that the singer will participate in the elections. Christian Hilland , a FEC spokesman, told the Daily News  that the most important thing, the Declaration of Candidacy, is missing, which requires the person to demonstrate that he raised and spent US $ 5,000 in campaign activities.

Kanye West's candidacy is still not certain, a few days ago Steve Kramer , who had been hired by the artist to be his electoral strategist for his candidacy to be approved in Florida and South Carolina, told the New York Magazine that the rapper he had reversed his presidential aspirations.

Kramer commented that Kanye's team had worked hard over the weekend to formalize his candidacy with the FEC, so the announcement he received took him by surprise. "We had a lot of support to get him on the ballot. He is out of the presidential race," confirmed the strategist to the aforementioned media.

In an interview West gave Forbes , following the announcement of his quest to get to the White House, he revealed that he no longer supported Donald Trump, "I'm taking off my red cap with this interview," he said, referring to the cap with the motto "Make America Great Again" that the president used in his first presidential campaign.

In addition, he announced that he would compete under the banner of his new political party, the "Birthday Party", and commented that it would be called that because when they win, it will be everyone's birthday. In the interview, his application was also very confident, "Like everything I've done in my life, I'm going to win."
