(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 18 - What "we wanted to do is put together the works of an extraordinary Italian author".
   Sky Cinema celebrates the seventh art "with great films, the most innovative products but also through memory and Mattia has been one of the brightest talents of recent years,". He explains to ANSA Nicola Maccanico, Executive Vice President of Programming of Sky Italia and CEO of Vision Distribution, speaking of the tribute that Sky Cinema Uno will pay on 19 July to MattiaTorre, one year after his untimely death. A journey into the works of the author and director, who has signed cult films such as Boris, Lalinea verticale (inspired by his experience as a 'patient' in the hospital), up to his last work as a screenwriter, the Figli comedy directed by Giuseppe Bonito and interpreted by our friends Paola Cortellesi and Valerio Mastandrea, winner of three Silver Ribbons.
    Sky Cinema Uno dedicates to him, at 8.45 pm, a special episode of 100X100 Cinema born from an idea of ​​his friend and historical producer Lorenzo Mieli and from Maccanico, conducted by Francesco Castelnuovo. There will be the memories of some of friends and colleagues like Mastandrea, Pietro Sermonti, Paolo Calabresi, Valerio Aprea and Geppi Cucciari. The dedicated programming will begin at 12.25 with the four episodes of the original mini-series Sky "Where's Mario?", From an idea by Corrado Guzzanti.
   At 15.25 the eight episodes of "La lineaverticale" will be broadcast, based on the novel written by Torre and interpreted by Mastandrea. At 19.00 "Sons", born of a theatrical monologue and concluded after his death. To close the evening at 9:45 pm 'Boris - The film', made after the three seasons of the TV series of the same name, which for the occasion is available again on demand on Skye NOW TV (where there will also be all the other titles of the tribute).
