This morning we reported in Israel today that dozens of airports around the world are already preparing for the opening of the sky in a more orderly manner. Many countries have already begun the process of setting up laboratories and setting up complete systems aimed at conducting corona tests for passengers before takeoff and after landing in order to reduce the possibility of erroneous test results.

The one who entered the list and will allow tourists from about ten countries is our neighbor Jordan. Jordan has announced that it will allow tourists to enter the country from green countries and at the same time work in the neighboring country to establish a mobile laboratory at the airport. The tests that are expected to be part of this set are tests that show results in just about a quarter of an hour. Despite the announcement, a final date has not yet been set, but the opening of the sky is expected to happen in the coming weeks.

Among the countries whose citizens will be able to enter Jordan: Greece, Thailand, Hong Kong, Italy, Cyprus, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It is important to remember that Aqaba, which is a few kilometers from Eilat, is considered a competitor in the Israeli tourist city and the entry of foreign tourists into Jordan may affect competition between the cities.

At the same time, this morning 300 foreign workers from Jordan entered Eilat who are expected to work in hotels in Eilat. The 300 workers are part of 700 workers who are expected to enter Jordan in the coming days in order to increase the labor force in the tourism industry in the city. All those entering Jordan will be transferred to solitary confinement that will last two weeks and only then will they be able to enter the work circle in the city.
