In the note, Princess Diana thanks her friend Dudley Poplak for a gift she received days before her birthday.

On June 27, 1991, a few days before Princess Diana turned 30, she wrote a letter to her friend Dudley Poplak to thank him for a gift.

"I wonder what the next ten years will bring," wrote the royal. "The last ten, I've learned a lot in an interesting way!" He added.

The British newspaper Daily Mail obtained images of the document to be auctioned, where you can also read, "Thank you very much, Dudley, for my photos."

Although it is not clear what exactly the "pictures" Diana was referring to, the princess admitted that she opened her gifts before her birthday, as indicated by the latter's date.

"Since when have I been able to save a gift for the right day and I'm afraid his three wonderful drawings were no exception!" He wrote.

"I am deeply moved that they give me something that means so much to our family and that Raine has not auctioned," added Prince Charles' wife , probably referring to his stepmother Raine Spencer.

According to the Daily Mail , the note was written on paper with the Kensington Palace logo, and was recently put up for auction by a retired autograph and manuscript vendor.

A second letter was also put up for sale, although this was written by Diana's mother, Frances Shand Kydd , which she delivered at a memorial mass after her daughter's unfortunate death.

According to the British media, the notes cost around $ 764 and will be sold on July 30, the day on which it could increase its value considerably.

Diana turned 30 on July 1, 1991, and the following year, in 1992, she separated from Prince Charles. The ex-partner finalized the divorce in 1996. Diana died in 1997, shortly after her 36th birthday.

This is not the first time that a letter from the princess has been auctioned, as another note dating from June 21, 1989 was also put up for sale.

The letter was sent to Sergeant George Plumb of the Special Escort Group , in which Diana writes to thank him for participating with his troops in the party of the seventh birthday of his oldest son.

The text reads, "Dear Sergeant Plumb, it was very nice of you and your team to have come here today for William's birthday. I cannot express to you what pleasure he gave all those little people and their mothers with your display. I know how busy Everyone is here right now, which made it even more meaningful to us that you and the motorcyclists were able to participate in the birthday celebrations. Receive warm thanks. Sincerely, Diana, William and Harry. "
