Meghan Markle is a strong advocate for her right to privacy. She currently has another active lawsuit against the publisher Associated Newspapers over articles published by The Mail on Sunday newspaper in February last year that included excerpts from a letter she had sent to her father, Thomas Markle .

The Schillings law firm hired by Meghan, to represent her in this case, stated in early May this year, "The Duchess's rights were violated and the legal limits around privacy were crossed. As part of this process, they implemented the extremes in which The Mail on Sunday used distorting, manipulative and dishonest tactics to attack the Duchess of Sussex, who has been fully exposed. "
