The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Saturday 86 new deaths and another 4,814 cases of coronavirus across the country.

In the morning, the health portfolio had reported the death of 40 people (23 men and 17 women), of whom 34 resided in the province of Buenos Aires, 3 in the City of Buenos Aires, and one in Santa Cruz, one in Chaco and one in Neuquén.

Thus, the mortality rate is 61.9 people per million inhabitants and the case fatality rate of 1.8% on confirmed cases.

The Secretary for Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti , attributed the increase in confirmed cases to the expansion of diagnostic capacity in the country's 24 jurisdictions.

Likewise, he pointed out that Jujuy "has an important role in the new infections in the last days" and explained that teams from the national Ministry of Health are working together with the authorities of that province "in territory".

The official insisted on "intergenerational solidarity" since statistics show that it is young people who become infected, with an average age of 37 years, and those over 60 who register the most deaths due to the disease. For this reason, she recalled the importance of prevention measures: hand washing, social distancing, and airing out the spaces despite the cold.
