Coronavirus in Argentina: 46 other deaths and 4,192 new cases reported in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Sunday 46 new deaths and another 4,192 cases of coronavirus throughout the country.

In the morning, the health portfolio had reported 20 new deaths. 10 men, 6 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 4 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); and 10 women; 4 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 5 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); and 1 resident in the province of Río Negro.

According to official information, 12,951 new samples were carried out on Saturday and 636,844 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out since the outbreak began, which is equivalent to 14,034.6 samples per million inhabitants.

Transmission at the community level, that is, when a person is infected without a history of close contact with someone sick with Covid-19 or travel to areas of transmission, reaches 51.4% of cases.

This type of transmission is registered in the Federal Capital, in Greater Buenos Aires and in the Chaco cities of Resistencia, Barranqueras, Puerto Vilelas and Fontana, in addition to the capital of Neuquén and the Neuquén cities of Plottier and Centenario. Also in Río Negro, General Roca, Cipolletti and Bariloche, in the metropolitan region and Greater Mendoza, and in Rosario, Santa Fe.

In recent days, record numbers of cases have been recorded in the country, however, some experts assure that the peak of the pandemic in Argentina has not yet been reached.
