"Even from a difficult situation, great opportunities can arise." And for Francesco Gabbani the opportunity is to have set up, in no time, at Inedito Acustico, a tour of a dozen dates in this strange summer undermined by covid-19. "There were no scheduled concerts, much less I would have thought of acoustic concerts - says the Tuscan singer-songwriter, reached on his way to Majano, in Friuli, the first date scheduled for tomorrow, July 26 -, I was concentrated on the 'party' scheduled at the 'Arena di Verona in October and which instead had to be postponed to next spring, to April 26. But then came the opportunity to play again, albeit with a limited audience and it seemed like a great way to give a signal of hope for music. It is the practical demonstration of the desire to start again, to start again, to want to be together ". And the public's response was not long in coming: starting with the announcement of three dates, they then became ten, with some sold out already centered, and it is not excluded that more can be added. The first to want to get back into the game is Gabbani himself: "I am positive, optimistic and even more charged after this period of abnormality that made me think. And now I am grateful to be able to start again". The acoustic dimension, he explains, "honors the songs, it goes to the juice of the emotional question. And it is more coherent with the situation, it adapts better to a smaller, more theatrical audience. Acoustic for me means intimacy". It does not hide that the downsizing is also there from an economic point of view. "I have no margins, but the intrinsic value of what we are doing is more important than the economic one". And that's why, despite being an acoustic live, Gabbani did not want to give up all his musicians on stage. A show that will also be devoted to direct dialogue with the public, thanks to the confrontation with the alter ego Fritz for two to tell his story and his career (with the narrative voice of David De Filippi). "A third-person story, as if I were looking in the mirror, to get rid of the embarrassment of self-celebration. A sort of psychological introspection, because I am always looking to understand myself better", explains the winner of two consecutive Sanremo Festivals ( among the Young in 2016 and among the Bigs the following year, plus a second place in the last edition). He rejects the comparison with Gaber's song theater, but does not deny having thought about that world when he set up the concert. In addition to the live shows, Gabbani also wants "to go back to writing. I don't want to spend too much time for a new album". Is there also a new participation on the horizon at the Sanremo festival, marked Amadeus for the second year? "I don't know, I don't think - he svicola -. For now he is not in the plans". The unpublished acoustic tour will stop on July 26 in Majano (Udine) on August 9 in Alba (Cuneo), on August 10 in Asiago (Vicenza), on August 13 and 14 in Casstelnuovo di Garfagnana (Lucca), on August 22 in Fossano (Cuneo), August 29 in Ortona (Chieti), September 1 at the Roman Theater of Ostia Antica (Rome), September 4 in Brescia, September 10 at the Ancient Theater of Taormina (Messina).
