Israeli-American Virtual Blues Festival: While many of the producers and musicians in the music industry are licking their wounds in the wake of the Corona crisis that has left hundreds of thousands unemployed and canceled countless performances, some think outside the box, bring special performances to home screens.
On Sunday, International Blues Day, dozens of blues performances will be broadcast as part of a special and unprecedented festival. The performances will be filmed in the artists' homes in Israel and the United States and will be broadcast in succession, one contempt after another, for a nominal sum of only NIS 20 for a performance. A ticket will also be offered for the entire festival, which will run for 12 hours between 12 noon and midnight.
Among the artists who will perform at the festival: Rotem Bar-Or (The Angel) in a special lecture, Yaron Ben-Ami, Uzi Ramirez, Noya Sol with Moti Dror, Noam Dayan with Danny Dorchin, as well as performances by world-renowned bluesists, straight from New Orleans, New York, Georgia and Mississippi, including Lucas Spiller, Big A, Sean Apple, Meredith Axelrod and more.
It is important to note that all money will be transferred directly to the artists, without any brokerage fee. The production of the event is entrusted to Nobody's Fault Productions, which is responsible for the blues festivals in Tel Aviv and Sderot, as well as bringing many international artists to perform in Israel.
In addition, residents of the major cities in Israel will be able to enjoy deliveries of special dishes to the festival, including Kaijanun in Mitzpe Ramon, Knapsa Mississippi in Jaffa, time-smoking beers in Be'er Sheva, special cocktails in Jerusalem and more.
