(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 27 - India has recorded 49,931 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, i.e. the highest daily level since the start of the pandemic: the new record, according to the official accounts of the Ministry of Health reported by the CNN, is been accompanied by further 708 deaths.
The new data bring the overall balance of the contagion to 1,435,453 and the deaths to 32,771. To date there are 485,000 active cases and 917,568 people recovered.
For its part, the Council for Medical Research of India has announced that over 16.8 million tests have been conducted since the start of the pandemic. The country, as is known, has the third highest number of cases in the world after the United States and Brazil. (HANDLE).
