More than four months after the start of the quarantine, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Sunday 121 new deaths and another 4,890 cases of coronavirus throughout the country.
With these numbers, the number of infected amounts to 167,416, since the pandemic reached the country; while the number of deceased reaches 3,059.
Of the total registered cases, 68.5% correspond to the province of Buenos Aires, where 3,351 infected were reported. Again, the second district in number of cases was the City of Buenos Aires, with 1,059.
The health portfolio detailed that the deceased were 66 men , 30 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 29 in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 3 in Chaco; 1 in Entre Ríos; 1 in Río Negro; 1 from La Rioja and 1 from Santa Fé. Also 54 women ; 29 in the province of Buenos Aires and 24 in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and 1 in Santa Fe.
While the average age of the deceased is 75 years and the case fatality rate is 1.8%, while the mortality rate is 64.8 people per million inhabitants.
During Sunday, 10,870 new samples were carried out and since the start of the outbreak, 647,714 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 14,274.1 samples per million inhabitants.
Globally, the number of infected already exceeds 15,785.00 cases, of which 200,625 were identified in the last 24 hours. The lethality of 4.1%.
In America there are 8,385,810 infected with coronavirus, which represents 53.1%. Argentina groups 1.1% of the total continental cases, Brazil, 27.9% and the United States, 47.8%.
