No connection with the 'Ndrangheta by the carabinieri and the pushers arrested in the investigation by the Prosecutor of Piacenza which last week led to the kidnapping of the Levante barracks and the arrest of six soldiers. From the first investigations of the Milan DDA, to which the documents relating to the chapter on hashish and marijuana supplies in the Milan area have been forwarded, there is no contact with Locride's rules. Even the warehouse in Gaggiano, a center at the gates of the Lombard capital, where supplies of light drugs took place, from the investigations carried out was not managed by organized crime in Calabria.

The investigation of the Milanese DDA was entrusted to the prosecutor Stefano Ammendola after a few weeks ago the Piacenza prosecutor Grazia Pradella, on the basis of some interceptions and a disclosure by the Gdf, had sent the documents. Among the intercepted dialogues that have suggested links with the 'ndrangheta, there is, for example, the conversation in which, speaking with his partner Maria Luisa Cattaneo, the officer of the carabinieri Giuseppe Montella defines "calabresi", "big pieces" the interlocutors of Daniele Giardino, according to the accusation the drug supplier.

"It is an incredible episode, which has undermined what was a garrison of legality which instead has become the spectrum of illegal and unacceptable activities by members of the police force." This was stated by the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese in Sorbolo (Parma), regarding the investigation into the Levante barracks of the Carabinieri of Piacenza, on the sidelines of the delivery to the Municipality of a property complex confiscated from organized crime. An episode, he added, which however cannot "undermine a large institution like the Arma".
