"The best in the world". The Cordoba Justina Bossa Ribba is only 16 years old, but she will be able to add that information to a CV that she did not even begin to do. It is that the girl, a student at the Mark Twain College, obtained the best grade among all the students on the planet who participated in an evaluation of the prestigious University of Cambridge .

Justina obtained the highest marks on the English as a Second Language exams from the British institution, the Top of the World in English as a second language . "We still can't believe it. When the school principal called me, everyone in my family started crying and to this day we don't fall, ”Justina told La Voz del Interior.

The girl studies in a bilingual school in the Cordovan capital and, like thousands of students, participated in these exams that test knowledge of various subjects in English every year . In Argentina, 90 schools participate in this evaluation modality, which also rewards the best grade in each country and the best in the world .

“During all these years, there have been many awards obtained by our students in the Top in Argentina category , which is a great distinction. This year, for the first time a student from our institution wins the Top in the World award, ”said Pamela French, director of Mark Twain, who has been taking these evaluations since 1997.

Justina, who wants to study biotechnology abroad when she finishes high school , says that she has been very familiar with the language since entering school. And she says that for these exams, she had to take subjects such as mathematics, biology, history, art and even Spanish in English.

“They give you a resume to follow and you study those topics, all in English . At school it is not compulsory, but we all surrender it. They help us in that and we all have an opportunity ”, he details. So strict is the assessment - which was done in person last year - that up to 48 hours after taking the students, they cannot speak about it because, since the test is taken in different countries at other times, it seeks to minimize the risk of any filtration on the contents.

"I did study and pay attention in class, but having taken it out was a surprise because it's not that I dedicated myself all the time to that," concludes Justina, for whom "English is the language that predominates in the world and knowing the language and power Dealing with it opens up a lot of possibilities ”.
