A landslide in Myrtos , Kefalonia, seriously injured an Italian tourist. Marco Fiorini, 46, from Vimodrone, was on vacation in Greece with his wife and 3 children. On July 28th he was struck by the fall of some boulders from the mountain above Myrtos beach, where he was bathing with his family.
The man was brought to the hospital in Patras, where he was operated on the head: "The surgery went well - the honorary consul of Kefalonia, the lawyer Graziella Micheletti tells ANSA - we hope that he will recover soon ".
As for the danger of the beach where the accident occurred, "I don't know - explains the consul - if there have been other similar cases in the past". Micheletti gave all his help to the family in organizing the various trips: "we did the least we could do - he concludes - it is our duty".
