In the next few days a ship of the company Grandi navi fast will arrive in Sicily to allow the migrants who land on the Italian coasts and who must be quarantined to be transferred on boardto. In fact, the envelopes of the call announced on 26 July were opened at the Viminale and the tender was assigned. The ship, which will most likely be moored off Lampedusa, has over a thousand places: excluding those for shipboard personnel, police forces and Red Cross personnel, it will be able to accommodate between 600 and 700 migrants, starting from those which are currently located in the hotspot on the island and in the center of Porto Empedocle. The arrival in Sicily is expected in the next few days: the ship will have to be equipped with anti-video warnings and routes. Al Viminale is also working on obtaining a second smaller ship that will be transferred to Calabria.

Meanwhile, according to majority sources, fines for NGOs that violate the regulations in search and rescue operations remain . This was stated by majority sources, underlining that in the last text that modifies the security decrees and on which the agreement was found yesterday evening, there are no more administrative sanctions, but we return to the navigation code. In particular, in article 1102 which provides for the arrest of up to two years and a fine, the amount of which has been changed from the original forecast, from 10 thousand to 50 thousand euros. Both arrest and fines will be imposed on the outcome of the trial.

And in Lampedusa the 7 coronavirus-positive migrants, kept in solitary confinement in a room of the Imbriacola district hotspot, are leaving the island with a special air flight. As will be learned, they will be transferred to Palermo. In the island's hotspot, there will no longer be any virus-positive people.

Before being boarded on the special plane to Palermo, Covid-19 positive migrants are put in an airtight tubing sealed and insulated with the outside. Next to it, for everyone, always outdoors, there is a respirator. In these moments, caution and safety are the watchwords at Lampedusa airport.
