Take the eco-bonus to buy non-polluting cars. Until 31 December it will be possible to book the incentive for the purchase of low-emission vehicles on the ecobonus.mise.gov.it website . The discount, recalls the Ministry of Development, can reach 10 thousand euros .

In particular, the range of low-emission vehicles has been expanded for which it will be possible to request the state contribution, which can go up to € 8,000 for the purchase with scrapping and up to € 5,000 for the purchase without scrapping.

Discounts of up to 2 thousand euros can be added to the eco-bonus, which will be recognized directly by the dealers. The maximum bonus is for cars with emissions from 0 to 20 g / km of CO2, i.e. 100% electric, with a price of up to 61 thousand euros including VAT. The range of emissions from 21 to 60 g / km of CO2 gives access to bonuses of up to € 6,500.

Cars that fall within the 61-110 g / km of CO2 range can benefit from a bonus of up to € 3,500: these are widely used models with hybrid and mildhybrid engines, but also diesel, petrol, LPG bifuel and methane. The incentives were introduced with the relaunch decree, definitively approved two weeks ago.

For the bonuses, the government has made available another 50 million euros, in addition to the 100 million euros allocated for the year 2020 and the 200 million euros for 2021. The extension of the bonus to the Euro 6 cars was the the result of a long battle in committee, which divided the majority. The Democratic Party was in favor, Leu was not against it, while the Five Stars opposed it.

In particular, the Movement did not like the fact that the incentives also related to petrol and diesel cars. The compromise was reached thanks to the limitation of the bonus for the purchase of "combustion" models with low emissions. The aim of the measure is also to help car manufacturers to dispose of unsold car stocks in the quarantine months.

Another decisive factor for reaching the agreement was the time limitation of the bonuses. In practice, considering that in the summer months sales slow down and that at the end of the year they suffer a new brake (the cars registered in November and December after a few months are already considered "one year old"), in fact the bonuses will make the full in two months: September and October.
