(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 02 - A sharp worsening of the weather conditions is expected in the next few hours which will lead to frequent and intense precipitations, mainly in the northern regions, mainly of showers or thunderstorms, in extension, from tomorrow to part of the peninsular center The Department of Civil Protection in agreement with the involved regions has therefore issued a new warning of adverse meteorological conditions which foresees, from early morning tomorrow, Monday 3 August, the persistence of scattered rainfalls with a prevalent thunderstorm character, over Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Autonomous Province of Trento, with an extension of the phenomenology in Liguria and Tuscany. The phenomena will be accompanied by strong intensity showers, frequent electrical activity, hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
On the basis of the phenomena in progress and expected, an orange alert was assessed for tomorrow, Monday 3 August, on a large part of Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. A yellow alert was also assessed on the remaining sectors of the Emilia region in Lombardy, on the whole territory of Liguria, Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Umbria, Marche and on part of Trentino Alto Adige and Tuscany.
