(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, AUG 04 - The Argentine government announced today that it has reached an agreement with creditors for the restructuring of nearly $ 67,000 million in titles of its foreign debt. In a joint press release from the Ministry of Economy and three major credit consortia, the agreement calls "significant debt relief."
"The Argentine Republic and the representatives of the 'Grupo Ad Hocde Bonistas Argentinos', the 'Comité de Acreedores de Argentina' and the 'Grupo de Bonistas del Canje' and others - says the official statement - have reached an agreement today which will allow the members of the three groups to support the proposed debt restructuring of Argentina and will offer the Republic a significant easing of its debt ".
