(ANSA) - MOSCOW, AUG 04 - From mid-May to mid-July, 42,000 passengers were fined on public transport in Moscow for not wearing a mask and gloves during this period of the Covid-19 epidemic: the deputy chief said so of the financial control body of the Municipality of Moscow, Oleg Ivanov, according to which the total fines amount to 210 million rubles, about 2.43 million euros.
"First of all let's try to explain to passengers the need to wear gloves and masks," said Ivanov of the Interfax agency. The fine for not using the masks and gloves on Moscow's public transport is 5,000 rubles. The obligation was introduced on May 12, not only on the means of transport but in all the publicly closed places. At the end of July it was announced that the stores in the Russian capital were fined 300 million rubles, around 3.47 million euros. (HANDLE)
