Several hundred SoLocal (Ex-Yellow Pages) employees will have to reimburse overpayments of wages of “ up to 8,000 euros ”, following computer software errors, we learned from union sources on Tuesday. , confirming information from the daily Ouest France.

According to Frédéric Gallois, central delegate of FO, who quotes " the figures of the direction ", between " 750 and 850 " employees, all salesmen and having a part of variable remuneration " , are concerned by these " overpayments ". As a general rule, it is several hundred euros but some will have to reimburse up to 8,000 euros ”, spread over 12 months, said Frédéric Gallois to AFP, information confirmed by the CFE-CGC and the Autonomous union (attached to Unsa).

Employees learned about it by email or post just before the holidays; it is the result of repeated errors over the past two years, ”added Alexandre Gamay of the CFE-CGC. For sedentary salespeople, the overpayments to be reimbursed can be around a hundred euros. For some sales people, this can go up to 3,000 or 4,000 euros, ”confirmed Anne Labbé of FO, on the Rennes site. According to the unions, it is " an interface problem between the payroll software " which is at the origin of these calculation errors relating to remuneration and which has generated an " overvaluation of commissions, variables " affected by employees. concerned.

" A first error, relating to short-time work during confinement and the health crisis was detected in April, then the management went back to March 2019, and found errors following sick leave or maternity leave ", added Frédéric Gallois. Asked by AFP, the company's communication service indicated that management was " not able to respond before August 24, the date of reopening of the company after the summer holidays ".

After going through difficult times and social plans in recent years due to the end of paper directories, SoLocal, which employs 2,800 people today, has lost 140 million euros in turnover in two and a half months , during confinement, according to its general manager, Éric Boustouller.

The latter, CEO since October 2017, after having been for 12 years one of the European leaders of Microsoft, seeks to transform SoLocal into a French digital champion, by relying on the vast clientele of traders, craftsmen and small businesses inherited from Yellow Pages.
