(by Daniela Giammusso) (ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 03 - Sporty, walking, pedal assisted or ready to tackle any dirt track. If it is true that the bike will be the means of the future (or at least in the coming months), in this all-Italian summer ideas, occasions and paths to discover are multiplying. Not only for the pleasure of traveling green, away from traffic and immersed in nature, but also to discover times, ways and places otherwise inaccessible. Eallora, whether you have always been passionate or recruits of the last hour, refined palates from five stars up or camping lovers, from North to South here are five opportunities to try for your summer on two wheels ART and GRANFONDO - There are over 100,000 Italian cyclists, because of the Covid19 emergency, they had to renounce the beloved Granfondo, the amateur races that are held over long distances. For them, but not alone, Godoit launches in Lombardy the cycling experiences, 5-star bargaining and all the mechanical and health assistance in tow, to live with the family along the tracks of the Granfondo. A short-weekend formula ranging from "YourTop Dolomites" to a day in "Milan & surroundings", with lots of visits to exhibitions and monuments or post-pedaling picnics in historic Brianza dwellings, such as the sixteenth-century Villa Calchi, on the Sartirana lake. And for the contented ones, on request even the most extravagant whims.
How to take the helicopter from Milan to Bormio to climb the Stelvio Pass on the same day.
NATURE AND VILLAGES - From Colico to Chiavenna, slow city and orange flag of the Italian Touring Club. And then the village of Piuro with its archaeological excavations, the imposing waterfalls of the Acquafraggia and the Palazzo Vertemate Franchi. Final destination, the Val Bregaglia, on the border with Switzerland. It is part of the Valchiavenna area, 40 km of paved roads, and easy for everyone, which crosses the most iconic places in the valley and the ancient villages that make it unique. Another route that in these parts offers real postcards is the Tracciolino: at 920 meters above sea level, it is completely furrowed by the tracks of a narrow gauge railway and can be traveled both by bicycle and on foot. Exciting panoramic views of Lake Como and Lake Mezzola alternate with entire stretches to be traveled inside caves carved into the rock. GREEN AND ADRENALINE - A green world where everything is made to measure on a bicycle: no cars, only tracks and paths for the two-wheelers at about 2000 meters above sea level. And again, descesemozzaggiato, pumptrack, dirt roads among the most beautiful in the Alps, legendary routes such as the Sellaronda. It is Movimënt, the Alta Badia car-free plateau, with its network of paths and soft slopes that can be traveled on two wheels. Leaving the car in the valley and loading the bicis on one of the lifts, all enabled (but can also be rented) you can go slowly pedaling or have fun between Bike Beats, flow paths on the ground or sand, the Cor (heart in Ladin) steep serpentine and rich glazes, waves, parabolic and walls. From here you can also reach the Sellaronda MTB Tour, one of the most beautiful circuits in the Alps, all around the peaks of the Dolomites, Unesco world heritage, and the Sella group. On August 8th and 15th, E-bikes under the stars, with moonlight appointments to admire the starry sky.
FAIRY TALES AND CHILDREN - The latest addition is Toni's fabulous world, inspired by the ancient legend of the minstrel Walther von derVogelweide. But there is also the Shepherd's Path, with all the details of this profession, or the Wild Path of Wonders, specially designed to approach, having fun, the universe of alpine fauna. Until the great breeding of llamas and alpacas at the Kaserhof in Soprabolzano, the Museum of beekeeping at the ancient Plattner farm to find out how "honey" is born. These are the many surprises and educational-recreational routes for the whole family of the Corno del Renon, the peak that dominates the South Tyrolean plateau of the same name, right at the center of the network of tracks and cycle paths in South Tyrol.
Real didactic itineraries, to be discovered with a stroller or child in the saddle.
BEACHES, EARS AND TARANTA - But who said that whoever goes inbici then does not bathe? The Salento Bici Tour, as the name says, organizes guided tours to discover the most beautiful and secret coves of the heel of Italy. For the more daring (not necessarily trained), there is the Bike & Camp, which from Lecceat traverses all of Puglia down to the golden beaches of Santa Maria di Leuca and back, crossing the protected Oasis of WWFLe Cesine, the megalithic garden of Giurdignano, Punta della Suina, the Natural Park of Porto Selvaggio or the Castello Normano di Copertino, among villages, olive trees, Taranta nights and spectacular swimming in the sea. For foreigners, do not miss iltour Italian cycling, with mini-language lessons, between a cup and the other, at the cafe, on the beach or in front of a sunset.
