Korin Miller visited hundreds of experts for 4 years until a specialist finally discovered the true cause of her back pain. Know its history.

Korin Miller , 38, visited hundreds of doctors over four years and came away with multiple misdiagnoses. But it wasn't until a specialist interpreted his MRI that he finally learned the true cause of back pain. This is his story.

Her back pain started one morning in 2016, when she woke up, she tried to get out of bed and couldn't. Her back had become so strained that doing basic things like bending over to brush her teeth or bending over to shave her legs was agonizing.

According to her statements to Health , she also had trouble sitting still and carrying her baby or any amount of weight, however light it was.

However, at that time he assumed that his pain was due to poor posture, and sought home remedies to alleviate it. He started taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatories, used heat packs and ice, but nothing worked.

It was then that he decided to visit his GP, who did not do any physical exam and suggested that he go to physical therapy.

Korin followed the doctor's recommendation and her discomfort improved two weeks later, but at six months, the pain became more intense and she was even already straining her butt muscles.

Later, he went to an orthopedist, who told him that he had two herniated discs in the small of his back and that they were causing his discomfort, and referred her to a physiotherapist, but again it was no use.

Desperate, she visited several experts, but was only misdiagnosed multiple times, as one suggested that her ailments were caused by her poor posture, while another told her that she had multiple sclerosis.

But it wasn't until February 2020, when he reached his peak of pain, while on a road trip with his family.

Once they arrived at the hotel, she began to exchange messages with a friend, who told her that her practice had just hired a back pain specialist and advised her to visit her.

Her experience was completely different from the others, as the expert spent 10 minutes watching her MRI outside the exam room before she even returned to see Korin.

Once he did, he sat in front of her and examined her, something that previous doctors had not done, and explained that her symptoms were not those of a herniated disc, such as the one suffered by celebrities such as Anitta , Laura Flores , among others.

The specialist checked her MRI again, but now in the company of Miller, who explained that she was developing degenerative disc disease, which is a condition in which the discs between the vertebrae lose their cushioning and cause pain.

His MRI also showed that the cushioning between the discs in his back was noticeably thinner than in other areas of his spine, something no expert had mentioned to him before.

"I felt like they were finally listening to me," he admitted.

Miller also had her leg bones measured and found that one of them is .39 inches shorter than the other. And now, she wears a heel on her left shoe to try to correct the imbalance, and she can't walk barefoot, either.

Luckily, after years of suffering from terrible back pain, she now has control over him, urging others not to make the same mistake as her and allow the discomfort to persist for so long.

"If you find yourself in the same situation, defend your health and fight until you get an answer that makes sense," he concluded.
