(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 05 - "I listened to Thom Yorke, The Fugees, David Bowie, Old School Jazz, but also contemporary things like Billie Eilish and Kanye West. I took something from everyone and mixed it in a schizophrenic jungle of characters who "Somehow this mix of different esound characters has been able to offer a clearer picture of who I am and what I feel, certainly in a clearer way than a single voice could." Asaf Avidan, the Israeli artist who conquered the world of music with "One Day / Reckonig Song", thus tells "Anagnorisis", the new album that will be released on September 11th.
For this new record, Avidan worked in his small studio in Tel Aviv and, during the lockdown, in his estate in Italy where, as he said, he learned to associate the creative process with that of nature.
"Anagnorisis" is the Greek word meaning agnition, which indicates not only the identity of a character but also the sudden awareness of a real situation. And the awareness that seems to have reached Avidan is the inevitable complexity of reality: almost symbolic from this point the idea of overdubbing up to 12 traces of his ordinary vocestra divides.

Then in February he will return in concert on the 20th at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, on the 21st at the Magazzini Generali in Rome, on the 23rd in Bologna at the Duse theater.
