BBC reports criticism on Twitter, 'provocative and dangerous pose'. The car manufacturer's apology (ANSA)

A "provocative, sexist and dangerous" pose . Many on Twitter arose at the sight of the spot of the latest model of Audi - the RS4 - which shows a little girl of a few years with cute sunglasses, flowered dress and denim jacket, eating a banana leaning against the nose of a car fiery red.

The promo slogan is: "Let your heart beat faster. In every respect." The BBC reports it. Many of those who saw the advertising image read it as provocative. Others instead leaned against the dangerousness of the image: it would have been impossible for the driver to see the girl and therefore avoid running over her.

Overwhelmed by criticism on the social network, the German car manufacturer hurried to make a public mea culpa and immediately withdraw the spot . And also to open an internal investigation to understand how it could have happened. "We listen to you and make it clear: we take care of the children. We sincerely apologize for this insensitive image and make sure that it will not be used in the future", is written in a press release issued by Audi.
